St. John's University School of Risk Management Elects Eight New Members to Board of Overseers

New York, NY - The School of Risk Management (SRM) at St. John's University elected eight new members to join its ranks at the February 27th Board meeting. This senior level advisory board now consists of 45 members, comprised of executives from the insurance and financial services industry worldwide.
"The School's Board of Overseers has grown, not only in stature and diversity, but as importantly, in their tremendous commitment to education and to this School," stated Ellen Thrower, Executive Director of the SRM. "I am excited about the prospects of working with the Board as we move into a new era of excellence," she said.
The new board members are:
- Winifred A. Baker, President, Lloyd's America, Inc.
- Roger E. Egan, Vice Chairman, Marsh Inc.
- Francis A. Goodhue III, Managing Director, JPMorgan Private Bank
- Bruce D. Guthart, CPCU, President, U.S. Operations, Hub International Ltd.
- Joseph Mauriello, Vice Chairman, KPMG
- Edmund R. (Dee) Megna, Vice Chairman, Guy Carpenter and Company, Inc.
- Patrick G. Ryan, Chairman and CEO, Aon Corporation
- Steven A. Schleisman, CEO, Allianz Global Risks
The School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science was founded in 1901 as The Insurance Society of New York and over the years, evolved into a fully accredited College, The College of Insurance. In June 2001, the College merged with St. John's University and became a school of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business. Located in New York City's downtown financial district, SRM awards undergraduate, MBA, and MS degrees in the insurance, risk management, and actuarial science disciplines. Through its Center for Professional Education SRM also provides education, training and consulting services to industry, governments and regulators worldwide.
